Portland Salsa Dance Instructor: Alexis Omar Tirado Padin de Arecibo

Alexis Omar Tirado Padin de Arecibo, Puerto Rico began his dance career in Mayaguez, P.R. in 1999. As a member of two popular dance companies he cultuvated his shine catalog and powerful style. He was also fortunate to spend time and partner with Norma Rivera one of P.R.'s top dancers. Omar has worked for some of the most celebrated recording artists of our day, such as Tito Nieves, el Gran Combo, Gilberto Santa Rosa, La Sonora Poncena, and others. After finishing a Bachelor's Degree in Science as Industrial Engineer, Omar landed a job in Houston Texas. Within weeks he meets Jorjet Alcocer and the rest is history. Tirado has performed/taught, danced at countless events in the U.S and has visited several countries that include: Argentina, Canada, Ireland, Mexico and Venezuela.
