George Cáceres

Bio
Originally from NY, George Cáceres is one of Portland's true Salseros and Salsa Pioneers. Over the last 12 years he has dedicated countless hours teaching, performing, dancing and choreographing to help create what we now know as the Portland Salsa & Mambo Community. George is currently the Artistic Director of Sabor Latino Dance Company, Portland's premier and 1st Salsa/Mambo Dance Company which has performed at many local, regional, national and international events for 10 years including:

2000 Salsa Web Convention in Toronto, Canada
2002, 2003, 2004 & 2006 West Coast Salsa Congress in Los Angeles, California
2005 New York Salsa Congress in New York, New York
2005 Vancouver International Salsa Congress in Vancouver BC, Canada
2006 Northwest Salsa Congress in Tacoma, WA
2007 Puerto Rico Salsa Congress in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Recognized as one of the top Salsa/Mambo Instructors in the Northwest, George has taught many successful classes to children and adults of all ages including workshops at Portland State University, Vancouver School of Arts & Academics and the Vancouver, BC International Salsa Congress and the Northwest Salsa Congress.

George teaches throughout many venues in the Portland Metro Area. His main studio classes are held @ Lenora's Room, located on the 3rd floor of the Melody Balroom. You will also find him teaching the group Salsa Lessons @ Blue Dragonfly, one of Portland's favorite dance venue on Thursdays and Aztec Willie's on Fridays & Saturdays.
