A darkly lit underground dance floor; sultry, pulsating rhythms and driving conga beats; when you think of salsa music, you imagine passionate, steamy dancing to fiery Latin salsa, cha cha and merengue music.

Located at 832 S.E. Grand Ave., just across the Morrison St. Bridge, Andrea’s Cha Cha Club is one of Portland’s best hidden secrets. Just downstairs from the Grand Cafe nightclub, Andrea’s Cha Cha Club offers cha cha, salsa, merengue, reggae, traditional and Latino rap music dancing Wednesday through Saturday nights.

When you walk down the stairs and enter the club, it seems like you’re transported to a steamy 1940s Havana nightclub. Much like the original Copacabana Club in Cuba, the Cha Cha Club is darkly lit with hints of tropical Cuban decor and non-stop dancing.

On weekends, you will find a crowded dance floor with Latin beats heavy with conga drums, brass and vocals in Español.

Spinnin’ the discs are DJs Marcos and Fernando. Marcos hosts Wednesday and Friday nights and Fernando appears Thursday and Saturday nights. Marcos offers a 1000 song selection, with cuts covering the entire range of Latin music.

With a throbbing Latin beat and a dark, sultry underground atmosphere, Andrea’s Cha Cha Club is one of Portland’s most alluring salsa dance clubs. Featuring skilled salsa dance instructors, top-notch DJs and an international crowd, this really is the place to dance your night away!

Schedule:
Wednesday - Saturday Class 9pm - 10pm $10 with free drink, dancing 10pm-2am no cover
Thursdays live music (Cubaneo) from 10pm - 2am.
Wednesdays is ladies' night.
